DOLCE & GABBANA FW 2013 MEN FASHION SHOW – (Video and Pics)
BAROQUE TAILORING : The starting point of the Dolce&Gabbana Fall Winter 2013 men’s collection is the strong and renowned masculine tailoring tradition, which has evolved in volumes and processes, experimenting in new cuts and embroidery until they take on a life of their own. A history that from its own past finds the impulse to always look for something NEW.
The coat is the protagonist of the collection. Made in different shapes and in various proportions, from daily items to evening wear.
The fabrics? Typical of the traditional Italian tailoring, but processed and treated in new ways, such as pinstripe, herringbone, velvet and Prince of Wales, with which coats, jackets and pants are made. Precious, Baroque-inspired embroideries are all made of gold filigree threads and recall the spirals one can find in churches.
The shapes are the natural evolution of the Italian tailoring tradition. Take a look at the shoes: embroidered and characterized by gaiters worn over pointed and rounded-toe shoes. Always present are the iconic Sicilian caps and romantic ribbon bow-ties.
What about the colours? All the grey hues with hints of bordeaux, dark green and camel.
